You'll find history down every road in Virginia. If you don't believe me, just pick one and take a daytrip down it. Here you'll find the results of my "photo safaris" around the state. See below for the counties I've covered so far! You'll also find links to history and genealogy websites, and anything else I find interesting and related to the topic. This website is VERY PHOTO INTENSIVE, so you may want to view it from a DSL, cable or Ethernet connection. I've tried to make all the graphics as small a file size as possible, but the pages will still take awhile to load if you are using a regular phone line. I think they are worth the wait, however. I haven't gone overboard with the design of the site because I think the photos speak for themselves! If you know anything about any of the places I've photographed, drop me a line and I'll add your insight into my photo captions. Also, if you'd like to share any of your own pictures of some of these places (past or present), I would love to post them.
