LaCrosse is a suburb of South Hill. The town limits start off of US 58 right after you pass Arby's heading east. It was in the news in 2005 because the chief of police in South Hill was complaing about the LaCross police chasing speeders from the LaCrosse town limits into South Hill, even once following a speeder into the parking lot at Arby's.
The business district of LaCrossi is basically made up of a row of storefronts on one side of the street and the railroad tracks on the other side.
There is at least one really interesting building there, this one above, that is big enough to have previously been a school or hotel. I'm sure I can dig up info on it when I have time.
